The Hero’s Trail: A Guide for a Heroic Life by T.A. Barron, Puffin Books 2007
In this inspirational book geared for readers ages 8 and up, T.A. Barron takes a look at what it means to be a hero. Each chapter highlights a different kind of hero: Hero on the Spot, Survivor Hero, Hero Within, Hero to Others Near and Far, and Hero for All Time as well as spotlights historical and everyday people who have exemplified that hero quality. What will be most interesting to parents, kids, and educators are the numerous heroic kids that T.A. Barron writes about. This book will leave readers ready to begin a hero’s trail of their own, using this book of heroes as a trail guide.
